Renovation under cultural heritage protection

The 2nd issue of Archi 2023 magazine presents the renovation of the facade of the Macconi Center in Lugano, carried out by Maturi and Sampietro. The building is included among the protected cantonal assets and for this reason the construction elements had to reproduce the existing dimensions, colors and materials previously used as faithfully as possible.

The article, which can be consulted in this section, illustrates the interventions carried out on the north and south facades of the building. A particular mention goes to the chromatic aspect that accentuates the compositional elements of the facades themselves.
